While the Playoffs for the Open and Womens teams to represent Australia in 2002 is being conducted in Christchurch the Double Bay Bridge Centre in Sydney will be the venue for an event designed to select the Australian Seniors Team and then the representative Zone 7 team.

Australian Playoff American Whist qualification 32-board matches played 4 rounds of 8 boards. Qualify 2 teams to the Final.

Saturday April 14.
Australian Playoff Final (60 boards)

Sunday April 15
Zone 7 Australia vs New Zealand (64 boards).
