CONDITIONS OF CONTEST AND SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS(Final)
Australian Teams Selection 2005 Playoffs - Open & Women's Teams must nominate three designated pairs, a contact person and a playing or non-playing captain through the ABF website ONLY.Each player is required to complete the declaration of availability/acceptance of conditions for the Playoff and must complete a further declaration including an indemnity agreement before representing Australia in a designated event.
The minimum qualification is Open, 11 PQP; Women, 6 PQP and each designated pair must have earned at least 1 PQP in the same unit. Nominations are ranked according by their Playoff Points calculated as the total PQP, discounted by 50% for PQP not earned by the designated pairs in the same unit.
Nominations are published on receipt; players may challenge their accuracy until 4pm Sunday 30 January.
The entry fee ($1560 per team) and the completed declaration of availability forms for each player must be remitted by the contact or captain of the successful teams to the ABF Secretariat, PO Box 397, Fyshwick, ACT, 2609.
The target events for the winners and runners up of the 2005 Open/Women's Playoffs are:
- Playoff winners:- their choice of
- (i) Zone 7 Championship and, if they qualify, the Bermuda Bowl/Venice Cup, or
- (ii) PABF Championships
- Playoff runners-up:- the choice rejected by the Playoff winners
