Spring Nationals Open Teams

After 9 rounds of Swiss, the combatants for the two semi-finals were determined.

HANS (Sartaj Hans - Tom Jacob - Michael Whibley - Paul Gosney - David Beauchamp - Ishmael Del'Monte) v HOFFMAN (David Hoffman - Margaret Bourke - Tim Bourke - David Smith - Felicity Beale - Robbie Van Riel)

and 

HORWITZ (Helen Horwitz - Matthew Thomson - Peter Gill - Justin Howard - Peter Hollands) v NEILL (Bruce Neill - Arjuna De Livera - Simon Hinge - Kim Morrison - Avinash Kanetkar - Ian Thomson)

After the 56 board semi-finals the results were:

HANS 226.1  HOFFMAN 67

HORWITZ 167.7  NEILL 125

The final was therefore between HANS and HORWITZ

After 55 boards, the difference in the scores was less than 1 IMP.  However a last board swing gave the title to HANS 97.1 to 85.
