	Discussions regarding Playoffs There will be two meetings to discuss the selections of Australian International Teams. Topics will include format and uniform. The meetings will take place in the Galaxies Room at lunch time on Friday 31st October and Wednesday 5th November and will be conducted by ABF President, Bruce Neill.
	ABF Sponsorship The ABF will sponsor the BBO broadcasts of the Spring Nationals. The Semi-Finals and Final of the Open Teams will be broadcast on Saturday and Sunday November 1 - 2 while the Finals of the Women's and Seniors' Teams will be shown on Thursday November 6.
	Australian Bridge Sponsorship We are pleased to announce that Australian Bridge will provide free 1 year subscriptions to the new Australian Bridge Magazine - Novice Edition to the winners and runners up in the new Spring National Novice Pairs and to the best Novice Team competing in the Two Men & a Truck Restricted Teams.
	eBulletin at the Spring Nationals As in 2013, the Bulletin for the Spring Nationals will be electronic. Anyone who would like to publish an article should apply for a login and password to . You will also be sent a 'how-to' document. Your article will be vetted by an editor, and then published at eBulletins. We encourage the many talented authors, the occasional author and the budding author to contribute interesting or funny or unusual hands to the eBulletin.

	Women's & Seniors' Teams and the Melbourne Cup This year, the Women's and Seniors' Teams will be played when the Melbourne Cup is being run. You won't miss out. Match 2 on Tuesday 4th November will be split into two halves. Boards 1-10 will be played before the Cup and 11-20 after. You will be able to view the race which will be broadcast at the venue. We will run Sweeps for those wishing to have a flutter. Consequently the end of play for the day will be delayed until shortly after 7 pm.
	Suggestions for accommodation have been posted.
	Novice Pairs to run alongside the Open and Restricted Pairs on November 1 and 2. Each player must have < 100 Masterpoints at 1/7/2014. To run as a separate event there must be 24 pairs entered.
	Early bird discount of $40 per team for each Teams entry (Open, Restricted, Women's, Seniors') which is fully paid by October 16.
