Only 3 Days to Go

Pairs events commence on Thursday at 10.30am.  Despite the clash with the APBF Championships and the European Championships which many of our regulars are contesting, all the VCC events have experienced strong entry numbers including record numbers in the Women’s Pairs – go girls!

Traffic Advisory for Travel to the Venue

Participants travelling to the venue are advised to consider their travel time due to lane closures on St Kilda Road from June 9th. We are advised that St Kilda Road (between Domain Road and Kings Way/Toorak Road West) 2-4 and 9-12 June - will have two traffic lanes operating in each direction to facilitate site preparation works.  Please check the VICROADS website for maps and further details.

Parking at the Venue

Once again parking will be available in the underground carpark, and in the vacant lot next door.  Parking is $10 per day and is limited, particularly on Thursday/Friday. Additional parking can be found at Secure Parking, 474 St Kilda Road, however rates at this location are more expensive. We encourage players to travel together to the venue. Public transport along St Kilda Road (Stop 22), also offers a reasonable alternative to driving with a 3 - 5 minute walk to the venue from the stop.

Quest on St Kilda Road has a new Name – St Kilda Junction Accommodation

Our sponsor Quest on St Kilda Road has had a name change and is now called St Kilda Junction Accommodation. St Kilda Road Accommodation are continuing with their sponsorship of the tournament this year, and will be at the venue on Friday night for the presentations.

Food at the VCC

Once again, the Bridge Players’ Café will be open on Level one at the Bayview Eden. If this is your first time at the VCC you will find the Café has a range of yummy options available for lunch. Players with special dietary requirements should speak to the Café staff in the morning to ensure your needs are met. There is also a restaurant on the ground floor, and several cafes in the nearby vicinity if you want to venture outside.
