 2012 GNP National Final
The Grand National Pairs Final will be played in Canberra on January 19-20
as part of the 2013 Summer Festival of Bridge.
Players will need to make their own arrangements to get to Rydges Lakeside on
both 19th and 20th January, as the courtesy bus will be adhering to the
timetable laid down by the Organisers of the SFOB. However, the bus will be
available to transport players back to their accommodation venues if that venue
is on the advertised bus route. Subsidies: This year subsidies will be paid directly into
finalists bank accounts. Could players therefore send their bank details to
Jane Rasmussen at ABF HQ (secretariat3@bigpond.com)?
Information required is: Bank - BSB No - Account Number - Account Name.

GNP TO CEASE AFTER THE FINAL IN 2013 The following message was sent to the State and Territory associations in
November from the Secretary of the ABF.

Following input from all states and territories regarding the future of the
Grand National Pairs, it has been decided that this event will no longer form
part of the ABF calendar moving forward. Our commitment to this event will
cease following the National Final in January 2013.

We are confident that our novice and restricted players are well accommmodated
with the inception of events at both state and national level.

Could you please speedily roll this decision down to your clubs as it is likely
to affect their calendars for 2013.
