AUSTRALIAN JUNIORS WIN GOLD IN WUHAN

The Australian Youth Bridge Team concluded a successful overseas tour in Wuhan, China in August with an amazing come-from-behind victory in the Asia Pacific Bridge Federation Youth Championships to overtake the host country in the final round to take Gold. read more...

AUSTRALIAN JUNIORS WIN SILVER IN ATLANTA

The 3rd World Youth Open Bridge Championships have completed in Atlanta, August 3-11. Australia chalked up two silver medals losing the final of the Junior teams to USA War of Roses and then finishing second in the Board-a-match teams. For all of the results, etc. go to the WBF website.

Players who have at most their 25th birthday in the current year can join the ABF Youth Club for free. Details on the ABF Youth club section. They also get a 50% discount on entry fees in all ABF and ABF licensed events.

You can look up your masterpoints on the ABF Web site. Just visit the Masterpoints section.

Register as a youth bridge player.

AGE LIMITS

Age limits for world youth bridge changed on 1/1/2011.

  • The 2013 APBF Juniors (prev. U26) Teams and the 2013 World Youth Congress will be for those born in 1988 or later. ABF ANC Youth Events and Youth Club eligibility have the same age limit.
  • The 2013 APBF Youngsters (prev. U21) Teams in will be for those born in 1993 or later.
  • World University Bridge competitions have a 'U28' limit and for 2013 will be for those born in 1985 or later.
  • Except for the selection event for the international teams, events at the 2013 Youth week will be for those born in 1983 or later."
