Comments: Very standard 4 card major rubber bridge style bidding. 1D
shows 4 diamonds and partners 2S just shows a goodish hand.

David's Response: Hi Ken,
This sequence generally shows a hand with long diamonds that is either too
good to rebid 3D or some big balanced hand with no clear direction. At rubber bridge it is not possible to make a take-out double of 1S. The double of 1S is penalties. Very backward! Looks like the best action is 3S and see if partner has a stopper or otherwise to clarify his hand.
