Each pair in the 2025
Australian Team Selection Playoffs must create a Convention Card by completing the ABF Convention Card PDF
Form available on the ABF Convention Card PDF page of the ABF website or from the links below and then upload it to this website using the Upload ABF Convention Card link below
prior to 6.00 pm Monday, 11 November 2024.
Failing to lodge system cards within the time required in the regulations will result in IMP fines.
Please consult the
ABF
System Regulations to correctly classify your system. Note that as of August 1, 2024 the classification of Green systems has changed:
2.1 Green (Natural) Systems
a) All one-level opening bids are non-forcing.
b) An opening bid of one of a major guarantees length (4+ cards) in the denomination named.
c) 1NT should be balanced or semi-balanced.
(Note: this does not preclude individual assessment of some hands, e.g. a hand with a singleton honour
or a weak longer suit. The subsequent bidding methods however, should not be able to identify such
hand types).
d) All one-level opening bids, must by agreement, promise at least 8 HCP.
ALL systems and BROWN STICKER conventions are permitted.
To assist in identification, please ensure that the name
of the Convention Card contains the surname of each player of the partnership.

Convention cards will be posted below after they have been approved by the National
Event Co-ordinator (NEC). System cards which the NEC deems require
amendment must be amended and resubmitted to the NEC prior to 6.00 pm Wednesday, 13 November 2024.
Supplementary notes, suitably identified, may be emailed to the webmaster in any regular format e.g. Text, Word, Excel, PDF.
